Ty, Ty. Our soccer guy.

Saturday , Dec 12 was Ty's last game with the Purple Spiders. All the kids had lots of fun learning and playing soccer. Soccer was not Ty's favorite thing but by the end of the season we had learn a lot. We learned that Ty doesn't like to run but he loves to "play". We also learned that he plays better when Mommy cheers really loud and his shin guards are on the outside of his socks. Despite the set backs Ty stuck to it. Ty is sad that soccer is over. He was very excited to have a party at Peter Piper Pizza. They even gave him a trophy.

Car : (

A few weeks ago we came out of church to find our car had been hit.

The person who hit us did leave a note. I am so grateful for their honesty. I didn't realize how very attached I am to my car until I saw it broken. I was upset. We went through all the rigmarole with insurence, body shops and rental cars ( yes I drove a rental car) and my little blue car is fixed again.

The bumper is the right color

As far as fender benders go it really was not that big of a deal but it did make me realize how much I love my little car. My friend. I never thought I was materialistic but I love my little blue car. Yes she has seen better days. The years have aged her. She could use a little paint job. But she gets me were I need to be with no hassle and no fuss. She never talks back and she is always there when I need her. As long as I treat her right she will be there for me. My car reminds me of my friends, not that they need a paint job. They are beautiful . But it is not their outside I love. It is their caring and what they teach me about love. I also love them for their ability to do what needs to be done. They are not afraid of a little hard work. Even it fades their paint or stretches their bumper. I am never afraid of being lazy with so many wonderful examples of service all around. Aslong as I treat them right they will be here for me as examples of loving service.
It is strange to think I learned all of this from my car.

Primary Song for 2010

Many have heard this song before . I am so excited, this song will be the main song for the primary kids in 2010. I love it. Each time I hear it I get goose bumps. It is such a strong song full of the convictions that every child needs to know and truly feel in these days. Play it. Truly listen. You will feel the Saviors love .

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. The boys were both very excited about their costumes. They were "dinosaurs/dragons" depending on their mood. They were super cute, thank you Grandma Johnson
On October 24th we had our ward Trunk or Treat. The boys had a lot of fun as "dragons" chasing all of the little "Princesses"
Then on Halloween night, Ty decided he didn't want to trick or treat( He has never been big on candy). What Ty really wanted to do was pass out the candy. He was a big help. It was really cute watching him carefully choose each piece of candy for each trick or treater. Ian love walking around the neighbor hood with daddy to get lots of candy. He also loved all the attention his cute costume brought him. Everyone thought he was so cute they were droping handfuls of candy bars into his buckets.

My "dinosaurs".....

Ty is a little camera shy.

Ian's big Roar!

Ian loves the attention and the chocolate.

Ty, Ty. Our soccer guy.

Our Ty is growing up so fast. We have entered a new phase, Ty is on a soccer team. He joined a team with his friend Josh. He has had two practices. He team has around 11, 4-5 year olds. Practices are cute and frustrating. Just watching the little ones run and try so so hard to kick the ball.
At practice Ty continues to tell me he is "too shy" to run or kick.. In fact at his last practice I held his hand up and down the field while he practice "drippling".
Only once.
After that I told him he need to do it all by himself.
He usually spends the first 10min or so of practice just watching everyone. After a little while he does start to play. After practice he talks about all the things he learned and did.
When we are playing outside in the back yard all he wants to do is play soccer. He always wants to be the coach. His first game is on the 17th.

Ian, our smarty!

Ian has been fascinated with letters and words since he was really little. I am sure it has something to do with being in preschool since he was about 18 months old. Lately, if you ask him his name he will say I .A. N Thomas Johnson.
The other day when I was making dinner I realized he was very quiet- which with him is not usually a good thing. I found him with a box of paper clips. The majority of the paper clips were thrown all of my living room floor. But a select few were used to:

Do you every have moments when you think, uh oh I'm in trouble- the "natives" have one up on me. ?
So in those moments do you scold or do you take a picture?

Fruit

YEAH! After several month of babying two sad looking tomato plants. Here is the fruit of my labors. One tomato. Yes I know it its only one but, oh, how I can not wait for it to turn red. I am so excited. I wish I could cut it into about 100 parts and share it with all of you, alas it is a small tomato. But hey it is MY tomato.

What Josh Did While We Were Gone---

I hope you can see it in the pictures. Our big room(living room, office, preschool room in one) ,hall and entry way have been an old flat white. While we were in Georgia, Josh was very brave and busy. He moved everything out of the big room and painted. We choose nutty beige color for the big room , hall way and entryway. Then he painted the preschool room blue and yellow. He did a great job - the whole house seems new again. I love It.
