Black Friday Fun
We had a blast on Black Friday. "Coach" David taught the boys how to play T-ball and then they explored Mulligan's Island(Not sure of exact name but that is what the boys called it) It is a huge building filled with a treehouse and pirate ship with tubes and slides- it was quite the adventure.

Fall Carnival and Silly Boys
Ty's school had their Fall Festival-- the boys all called it a carnival. It was a lot of fun. Pony Rides, Games and candy. They even had hot dogs and snow cones. What more does any boy need. It was great to wander around the "Fair Grounds" (Ty's School) and see so many kids that know Ty. They would run up to him and say "hey, Ty", "Where ya going" "Wanna play with me". It was great because my sensitive guy has been upset about how he "has not one friend" and about how " everyone hates him". I am not sure where the angst is coming from but from what I saw on Saturday he is a pretty popular guy.
Here are some pictures of half of our morning-- the batteries in my camera died before our fun day was done.

I also have included some pictures of in antics my boys get into when they are suposse to be getting ready for bed, SIGH. Frustrating but still cute--- isn't being silly what childhood is all about---

Little One
Let me first reassure all that, yes baby is fine. We have been having some complications which have led my thoughts to all the wonderfully strong women I know who have lost a child to miscarriage. Often miscarriages are never explained. Women are told "Well it sometimes happens that way". Many grieve in ways that others do not understand. A silent sorrow- that most don't even really talk about. I am always very sentimental when I am pregnant. My thought of late have dwelt on that pain and in my minuet understanding I dedicate this poem to each of you who have lost a little one way too soon.
I held you close,
My Little One
Lost way too soon
I saw your life so small
Your details where barely there, not quite.
But your heart was firm and strong
I thought I held you safe
My little one,
Lost before the details
I may not every know your purpose in His plan.
I will miss the hope of you
The thought of you
My Little One
Lost before first touch.
I will miss you until that time when I see you.
You with all your details.
And I will hold you close.
My little one
Lost before first breath.

Captain America-- Space Commander
We had lots of fun this Halloween. Ty got to dress up as a space commander and he enjoyed being a "Space Expert". We had a little harder time with Ian's costume.
Ian really want to be a super hero because they "catch bad guys, throw them in jail so others can be safe". So we tried to find him Iron Man or Superman or Batman and we could not find any in his size (I guess not many 12-18month old dress as superheros). We did find a Captain America costume. He wasn't so sure at first-- he had never heard of Captain America but the idea grew on him. SO much so that he wore the custom on Saturday (30th) Sunday(31st) and all day the following Monday. He wore it to sleep in on Monday night and then when preschool was over he wore the costume again for the rest of the day on Tuesday. Since then the costume has "disappeared" but I am so glad he enjoyed it. And despite some funny looks at the grocery store, Ty's bus stop and at Ty's Gymnastics class, I thought it was so cute that he wanted to spend his day as a hero, "catching bad guys and keeping people safe".
