Christmas 2011

It was Daniel's first Christmas- and he was Mr. Miserable because of his teething-- all he wanted for Christmans was his two front tooth and sure enough the next morning he woke up with two little teeth. Yeah! Merry Christmas. Ty and Ian both wanted a puppy but Santa knew better- so instead they got a WII and some star wars toys. They were as happy as can be. Ian has become quite the photographer can you tell which pictures he took?

Family Thanksgiving/Road Trip

Here a few pictures of our wonderful-- yet too short--Thanksgiving Trip to Ut. Hopefully I will have time to add some captions. We had a blast and our boys love road trips- we will have to do it again sometime soon.

Halloween

Our Halloween was full of superheros, villains and -----a crying bunny?

Daniel may not have enjoyed dress-up but he did like going for a walk with Daddy and his brothers. As for Ty and Ian they loved it-- it was "the best".

Wedding- Third Times the Charm

After being divorced for over 20+ years My Mother and Father got married today. To each other.
Yes, it is a long and interesting story - straight off the Hallmark Channel.
My Dad even wanted "Third Times the Charm" written on the cake. We(those who planned the reception) vetoed that idea.
I sang as part of the ceremony. Aiden and Hector were the "ring bears". My Grandpa even walked my mom done the aisle. It was nice. It was fun to celebrate together as a family. I was not around for their first wedding and I was too young to remember their second wedding.

When Josh and I got married I missed having my Dad there to walk with me, and dance with me at my reception. It was special and unique to dance with my Father at his.:)

Here are some pictures of the day.

First Day of First Grade

A Mother's Prayer on the First day of School

Here we are again, Lord. Their backpacks are loaded and their faces are scrubbed and their lunch accounts are full. Will You walk with them? Will You whisper to them what they need to hear, when I'm not there to whisper it? Will You please, oh please, cover their school with the protection only You can give, and will You keep harm far away? Will You make their minds strong and ready to learn? Will You help them understand that hard work honors the One who created them? Will You guide their teachers, giving them patience and wisdom and creativity and even more patience? Will You bless them for their efforts? Will You love all those children there, the ones whose lunch accounts aren't full, the ones who feel alone? Will You teach my children to be kind and unselfish and to love those who are different from them? Will You point them back toward home just as soon as you can? I know you will, You always have. But a mother has to ask. Lord, I give them to You today and everyday, trusting them to Your care. Amen

Daniel's Special Day

On July 3rd Daniel received his name and a blessing. It was very special. Grandma and Grandpa Johnson braved the heat to drive down and spend the day with us. Grandma Powell , Aunt Melissa , Cousin Aiden and Grandpa Qualls came to sacrament meeting to hear his blessing. It was a unique experience and a sweet blessing. here are a few pictures from that day.
