Many have asked -- and others have wondered- so here is (at least part) of my story. I left out lots of TMI details but don't mind talking about them if anyone is curious.
I have always been a girl with a plan. Every since I can remember life I have had pretty strong ideas on how my life should be. When I was young my heart was full of dreams- fairly sensible dreams. I wanted to grow up surrounded by children. I would open up and run a school for orphans while having at least
12 children of my very own. I would be a famous children’s book author, which would help pay for all the children I would have. Even As I type I can remember their smiling chubby facing: big brown eyes and thick curly hair. When most girls were playing "wedding": dressing up in the most beautiful dress with a gorgeous handful of dandelions, I was playing "Mom". I would walk around in a T-shirt with a basketball tucked discreetly into the front of my sweatpants.
As I got older the plans changed just a little bit. I would graduate with my teaching degree at 23. Publish my first novel at 24. Get married and have my first sweet little one at around 25. I would still be a famous author, I would still be a teacher but this time no more orphan school. I also decided that a husband wouldn’t be such a bad thing, after all I still want at least
10 children of my very own. When I hit 28 years old I did begin to wonder. My handsome knight had not show up yet. Which in all honesty did not bother me very much because I was still working on my teaching degree. Being the sensible girl that I am I realized ..humm maybe

I did meet my Handsome Knight(HK) and we married shortly after I turn 29. Hummm, maybe

My HK and I decided we wanted to start our family and it didn’t take long before we were expecting our first little one. Then my plans changed, pretty drastically. We had our first ultrasound - we were so excited to see our little “lemonhead”. As the tech was explaining what all the blurs and blotches were, I asked a simple question which changed our world. – “Umm what is that?”. To make a very long story a little bit shorter. It was my uterus. — seems normal, right? I was having an ultrasound after all but no - it was my “other” uterus. Turns out I lived my whole life with a birth defect and I did not even know it. I have what they call in the OBGYN world Uterine Didelphys. Two different uteri stuck together. Most women find out about this defect when they either have multiply miscarriages or when they have difficulty conceiving. (to learn more click
here) There was talk of “high risk pregnancy,” “late term miscarriage,” “premature labor,” “birth defects,” and C-section. Hummm, maybe 1????
After much interest and even some debate on the doctors’ part. And after much “rest,” much “no work” and much prayer on my part, baby boy #1 was born at 36 weeks 6lbs 6oz . He spent a few days in the NICU but is a perfectly healthy guy. Then we (HK, Dr. and I) thought -------- humm maybe
2. And as many of you know baby boy #2 "jellybean" came after much sickness and rest on my part and much work on everyone else part. 37 weeks, 6lbs, perfectly healthy. We joke — that it takes a village to have a child- especially children as cute as ours.
I have always been a girl with a plan. And as many of you know my plans are usually good ones. I am after all a sensible girl. However, I have learned that there is Someone else out there who knows more then I – He knows all and He also has a plan. Now with all of that background out of the way …
Once upon a time there was a girl. She had a goal and she had a plan. It was a NEARLY perfect plan. She prayed about this plan and decided it was the right thing to do. She had it all figured out for the exactly convenient day and time. Because reaching a goal and having a plan was one thing she thought she did best. A similar plan had work two times perviously. It was a good plan. She told her husband about this plan. He agreed (with much persuasion) that it was a great and nearly perfect plan. As the actually plan grow closer they begin to anticipate that 1 day that would start off their NEARLY perfect plan. They waited and they waited. That 1 day did not come. What! But what about the NEARLY perfect plan? As usual to the girl's chagrin someone else had a PERFECT plan. His plans always work out much better then her plans. It is great to know that He cares enough to disrupt our plans to make room for His greater and perfect plans. We will get to share the results of that PERFECT plan with everyone in May 2011.
Have I given up on my plans-- of course not! But I have learned that when my plans go wrong it is not a bad thing. It is simple a better plan going "right" Hooray, for a PERFECT Heavenly Father who has a PERFECT plan.
We will keep you up to date on the progress of our plan-- who for now we are calling Little One #3.
